IT Infrastructure
IT infrastructure is the collection of hardware, software, networks, and services that support the management, delivery, and operation of information technology within an organization. Components of IT infrastructure

HPC infrastructure
HPC infrastructure is a specialized form of IT infrastructure: the implementation, in hardware and sometimes software, of the HPC triangle, the balance of compute, interconnect, and storage, that allows applications to run in parallel across a set of HPC resources. Where general IT infrastructure emphasizes broad connectivity and business services, HPC infrastructure is tuned for raw parallel throughput, tight coupling between compute nodes, and the high-bandwidth networking and storage that demanding scientific and engineering workloads require. Much of it is concentrated in an HPC data center.
