Apptainer Pro
Run production AI and HPC containers with control
Apptainer Pro adds long-term support, preflight checks, execution records and image delivery management to Apptainer.
Early access now open for teams moving from Singularity
Trusted by national laboratories, supercomputing centers and enterprise AI teams
Production containers need more than a runtime
Jobs fail after they launch
Driver, CUDA and MPI mismatches surface mid-job, after GPU hours are already spent.
No record of what ran
When an advisory lands, teams cannot quickly see which images ran on which hosts.
Runtimes drift off support
Upgrades without backported fixes or tested paths put stable research baselines at risk.
Bring enterprise operations to the container runtime
Apptainer Pro keeps the rootless runtime HPC trusts and adds lifecycle, validation, traceability and image delivery around it.
Validate, maintain, trace and deliver every container
Lightweight tests catch known mismatches before a full launch, and a published compatibility matrix defines tested setups.
Signed runtime packages, tested upgrade paths and rollback guidance keep every change predictable across your clusters.
Configurable retention and field redaction, with export to existing logging and security tools for incidents and audits.
Digest-based identity and integrity checks protect images in transit, and startup metrics show where delays occur.
Local image mirrors and signed offline update packages support private, sovereign and disconnected environments.
Check the specs before you start a trial
Apptainer Pro builds on upstream Apptainer and runs on the Enterprise Linux platforms your clusters already use.

Frequently asked questions
Apptainer Pro keeps the same rootless runtime, SIF format and image signing. It adds designated long-term support releases with backported security and critical bug fixes, preflight compatibility checks, execution records, cluster image distribution and caching, and offline operation. Enterprise support from CIQ is included.
Yes. Apptainer runs the same SIF images and still provides the singularity command for backward compatibility. SingularityCE, SingularityPRO and Singularity Enterprise reach end of life on October 25, 2026. Apptainer Pro gives teams using those products a supported path that keeps their existing containers.
No. Compatibility checks, image distribution and execution records all run inside your environment. Local image mirrors and signed offline update bundles support private, sovereign and air-gapped clusters.
No. Apptainer Pro is a standalone subscription for existing AI and HPC environments. It's designed to work with Fuzzball, Warewulf Pro and Ascender Pro, and it runs on RLC Pro for teams that want CIQ support from the operating system up.
Containers share the host kernel, so kernel patching stays essential. Apptainer limits exposure by running containers as the launching user with no privileged daemon. Execution records show which images ran on affected hosts and under which accounts, so teams can scope impact quickly and document their response.
