Bjorn Hovland
Bjorn Hovland is an executive, entrepreneur, and investor in technology and media. Bjorn oversees revenue, product and operations at CIQ. Previously, Bjorn served as partner and COO of an UHNW private family office where he built the investment infrastructure and oversaw operations for its affiliated $350M venture capital fund. Concurrently, he led business and corporate development at Stampede Ventures–a Los Angeles-based film and TV production company, where, among other things, he spearheaded a landmark film partnership with Saudi Arabia. Bjorn is also a co-founder at lending firm MuckerFi and quantitative hedge fund Federation Capital.
Bjorn's career has also included oversight of the design and development of multiple award-winning hardware and software products generating over $100M in revenue, securing more than 20 patents in the U.S. Earlier in his career, he led product at Bowers & Wilkins, where he directed the design and development of connected AV products. Bjorn was also the founder of Ascension Product Design and the product lead at Leeo. Bjorn studied mathematics, economics and statistics at St. Olaf College, and is a former concert cellist.
