Cloud Partners

One of the key features of Rocky Linux is its support for the cloud. The operating system has been designed to work seamlessly with a variety of cloud providers, including AWS Cloud, Azure Cloud, Google Cloud, and Oracle Cloud, optimizing its performance across VMs, containers, and bare metal.

There are multiple advantages to Rocky Linux in the cloud. With cloud infrastructure, users can easily scale their workloads up and down to meet the changing demands of their business, without needing to purchase, manage, or maintain physical infrastructure. The ability to tap into these vast, on-demand resources enables greater flexibility, agility, and cost-efficiency. A fault-tolerant infrastructure provides a stable and secure platform for running applications, ensuring reliability and continuity, even in the event of a failure. In addition, cloud providers offer extensive services that create a highly-available and efficient environment for your applications.

CIQ has joined forces with multiple cloud partners to offer Rocky Linux users a range of options:

Amazon Web Services: AWS is a cloud computing platform that offers extensive services, including computing, storage, networking, database, analytics, machine learning, and security, which can easily be integrated with applications running on Rocky Linux. With AWS for Rocky Linux, users gain a number of benefits that are important to Enterprise and HPC users alike, including reliability, scalability, flexibility, security, and cost-effectiveness.

Google Cloud:  Google has developed a collection of Compute Engine virtual machine images in close collaboration with CIQ so that you can get optimal performance when using Rocky Linux on the Google Cloud platform. With Rocky Linux Optimized for Google Cloud, users can leverage the scalability and reliability of Google’s hyperscaler architecture, customizing images and spinning up new instances as needed. Services include storage, networking, and security.

Microsoft Azure: Azure, a cloud computing platform and service, offers an optimized, standardized, and simplified Rocky Linux experience for the cloud. Its services include computing, storage, and networking, as well as various tools for building, deploying, and managing applications. Organizations can easily migrate their existing workloads to the cloud, while also taking advantage of the security, scalability, and global reach of Azure.

Oracle Cloud: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) delivers massive, consistent performance, and next-generation security across a comprehensive portfolio of services, including SaaS, application development, application hosting, and business analytics. Users can deploy Rocky Linux as the host operating system for third-party applications, with Oracle Cloud providing the necessary infrastructure, such as the compute, storage, and networking.
